Multiplex Global, one of Australia’s biggest construction contractors who handle office fitouts in Canberra and across the globe, has recently manage to snag the work for the fitting out of one of the new office building development at the Amalgamated Australian Investment Group’s Capital Square, located on the site that was once occupied by the Old Emu Brewery on Mounts Bay Road, in Perth.
The 32-level building, which is set to be the new headquarters of Woodside Petroleum, is set to come with a four-level office, a 400-seat auditorium, and an extensive array of end-of-trip and wellness facilities for its residents. Another addition that comes with the office building is some gallery space located on Mounts Bay Road.
This development is set to make Multiplex the largest construction contractor in the state of Western Australia, and one of the biggest providers of office fitouts in Canberra and Australia.
Chris Palandri, Multiplex’s West Australia Regional Managing Director, made a statement, saying that this new fit-out job was set to help employees, as the fit-out for the office space was designed to foster innovation and collaboration in its inhabitants.
He added that Multiplex was excited to be part of such a partnership with Woodside, saying that the new office space would be one of Perth’s and Australia’s best workplaces.
Palandri says that the company had already gone and spoken to Woodside, participating in an early contractor involvement process in order to visualize and truly understand what Woodside had in mind for the new office space. He adds that Multiplex is now working on providing a high-performance, and sustainable workplace that allows Woodside to connect with the local community impacting the welfare of the area, alongside ensuring the wellbeing of the building’s occupants.
Part of the initiatives in order to make the building sustainable include energy efficient lighting & natural daylight access, rainwater harvesting, as well as water-efficient air-conditioning.
Multiplex has already begun its work on the fit-out, and if all goes according to schedule, the build is set to be completed, ready for Woodside Petroleum to occupy it and Woodside Plaza, sometime in the later end of 2018.
